Summer Holiday Tennis Training
The summer holidays are here at last but not as we know it.
During these extraordinary times Sherborne Tennis Club will try to provide a comprehensive programme for all junior and mini players to help them train and develop their skills for what we hope will be some sense of normality come the autumn.
What we can offer
We will be looking to run 3 hour tennis sessions, Monday to Friday from 9:30am-12:30pm and 1:00pm-4:00pm, commencing on Monday 20th July through to the week beginning Monday 17th August (5 weeks in total).
Unlike the summer camps that we have been used to, these sessions will be limited to group sizes of no more than 15, plus coach(es), as per the LTA Guidelines stated on 13th July. We will look to run 2 sessions in the morning slot and 3 in the afternoon. Ideally we would work with mini players (under 10`s) in the morning and juniors (11+) in the afternoon but exceptions will be made.
How to book
Due to a vastly reduced capacity it will be first come first served and you can book places by calling Matt on 07403 025881 or Stu on 07825 660781 or email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Parents, If you already have a group of players of a similar age and ability and would like to book repeat sessions for them, please let Matt or Stu know ASAP.
In all instances we will do our very best to ensure your children get a chance to play but please bear with us whist we deal with some obvious logistical challenges.
Each session is £25 for members and £30 for non-members and if players wish to do 2 sessions in a day it will £45 members and £55 per day for non-members.
Rules of the club
All players must be dropped off and picked up a timely fashion. Players who are staying all day must leave the club between 12:30 and 1:00 so as to avoid groups of children gathering at the club.
You cannot stay within club grounds for lunch. All players must adhere to social distancing at all times. Players must bring their own water, sunscreen, hand sanitiser racket and appropriate clothing as per the days conditions. The club house loos are now open but the kitchen area is not. There is an outside tap for washing hands and the indoor mini tennis hall is available for shelter should the weather turn.
