Different Types of Membership Available

We are a not-for profit club, and our membership subscriptions are set at the level needed just to cover the cost of the club’s facilities.

The Club’s membership year runs from 1st April, and membership lasts for 12 months.

If you join after 1st September there is a 50% reduction on the annual subscription.

In 2020, the Club heavily discounted its membership subscriptions because of the restrictions and uncertainties caused by the pandemic. However, this meant that in 2020 the Club wasn’t able to cover all of its costs and we therefore need to re-set our subscription levels back to the pre-pandemic levels.

Guests

Members are encouraged to invite guests to play with them up at the Club. Apart from being friendly, this helps spread the word about the club. The simple rules below set out how guests can play at the club:

a) At the invitation of a member of the committee, or the member in charge of a regular Club session, someone wanting to come along as a try-out at the club can do so once free of charge.

b) Guests can only play when invited by a full Club member, and only when that member is present. Guests cannot simply turn up without an invitation. Same rules as for a party - gatecrashers are not welcome!

c) All guests must be signed into the guest book in the Clubhouse and payment of the guest fee of £3.50 made into the cash box in the clubhouse before play starts.

d) Any individual can attend the club as a guest a maximum of three times a year. After that if they want to join in club activities they have to join.

e) An individual club member can invite up to three guests at any one time.

f) For the avoidance of doubt, a member of the public can hire one of courts 5 to 8 on a ‘pay and play’ basis via the website, but this doesn’t mean that they can join in club sessions.
